I will add this tidbit: If you use a right-angle grinder to hog it out, clamp the blank to a "workbench"... in my case, a piece of 3/4" plywood laid on a couple of sawhorses... by trapping it between a couple blocks of wood that are securely clamped to the "table top". Securing the foam makes all the difference in controlling the grinder.
It's all a lot easier than it sounds, and minicell seats are as good as it gets!
