san o 16 as a sit on top?

hello all, I was thinking about building a sit on top, cause I have decided that I hate getting in and out of my kayak. I have a North Bay XL. I only paddle on small lakes or rivers, but may one day try to go out on lake St Clair or the Detroit river. I went out on lake St Clair once years ago in a small Cape Charles (16') and scared the crap outta myself.....

Anyway I was thinking of maybe building the paddleboard; maybe stretching it out to 18', with some modifications I think it would make a nice sit on top.

Does clc have any ideas about a sit on top kit in the future? Anyone have any thoughts about my dumb idea?
