Are your SOT's moulded plastic - in which case you'd have to destroy them to cut out the seat?

Guess not.

I would measure the depth of the seat where your sit bones (pelvic) are. This should be as close to the bottom of the boat as possible - 1/2"?

If that is the case and you can find some form of minicell foam to create hip braces (wedges) to prevent you from sloshing around side to side, and you have some way of firmly attaching the bottom of your seat to the floor of the kayak - then sure.

Go fer it!
