Darn Butt Joint

I put the deck on in stages and perhaps because of that and high temp and lousy cutting my butt joint does not look like it does in the video....Somewhat of an unsightly gap I plan a bright finish and wonder if there is some way to make this gap look better. Do I fill with peanut butter goo and put a decal over it or is this something I should just get over?
