Have you tried using Penetrol in your varnish? It will help the varnish flow and level out, greatly reducing brush marks. I usually mix in about 10% by volume. Applied with a foam roller and tipped with a foam brush, people will be asking you if it was sprayed. You can get Penetrol at any big box home store or paint store. Hope this helps-Joey
