Mice, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Racoons, Skunks, Porcupines are all the bane of boathouses up here - we've even had Muskrats and Otters move in. And I bet if we hang a few boats, we'll get Bats too.

Ain't nature wonderful? Outside?

Agree on the gear - if you can't take it all inside, get critter proof containers to store it in (old bank safes are pretty good - but the racoons usually figure out the combinations given enough time).

As for the rigging - try some of the "stay away" sprays they sell for gardens and property lines - just make sure they don't damage to your finish or the nylon in the lines etc.

Anyone got good ideas here?

I tryed to get a panther to pee on everything once, but she didn't warm to the idea and I'm still going for reconstructive surgery.
