It really is not necessary to remove the stitching wires. I simply used fingernail clippers to cut real close, then light sanding. (I could get a closer clip than using wire nippers.) If you really want to remove the wires, the soldering iron method mentioned above to soften the epoxy will work fine --- but why bother?
