prep to varnish
Posted by patrick forrester on May 9, 2005
I am just about done with all the major sanding. I am going to put on my last coat of epoxy on the boat, then put on the cockpit coaming, and flush mount hatch covers.
I guess I should sand the entire boat 1 more time with 220 after the final coat of epoxy. Then put on the coaming, and make the hatch covers. Then I should wet sand and start varnishing.
Is 220 a high enough grit ?
Should I not sand after the final coat and wet sand only ?
Thanks
