Hanging from the roof
Posted by Rob Johnston on May 7, 2005
I have built a Cheasapeak 16 and have been storing it by hanging it from the ceiling with ropes going to the handholds on the bow and stern. Seems to work great.
I happened to be looking at an owners manual for a rotomold kayak and it specifically say not to hand it by the handholds as it will distort the hull over time
Is it going to be a problem on my hull over time to hang it like this? The hull of my 16 seems much stronger than the plastic, so I'm guessing it will be Ok.
