Re: sealing rigging screw
Posted by Steve on Apr 22, 2005
I did the epoxy and silicone routine. This year was the first I stripped the rigging and refinished the deck. The screw holes held up very well, no damage at all. The silicone was a b..... to remove before varnishing again. I would recomend making a jig similar to the deck nailing jig for determining screw placement. The last thing you want to do is screw through teh side of the sheer clamp.
