I think this is a solution looking for a problem. If the reason for the twist is the grain runs at an angle to the centerline of the hatch then the deck will also have a similar assymetry. Making the hatch near perfect will make it less perfect to the deck. But all of this misses the simple fact that the hatch doesn't curve beyond the ends of the hatch ribs. The gasket is so thick,,and the difference in deck/hatch contact between the centerline of the hatch and the sides renders the slight difference in contact from twisting to a very minor difference.
