Also go to 400. 320 is too coarse for between coat sanding on fresh varnish. All you are trying to do is take the gloss off. Forget the mineral spirits wipe too. Finishes like varnish are not fully cured in just a day or two. My theory is that solvent on fresh varnish contributes to bubbles. Wet sanding followed by a good rinse and drying is all you need. My experience is that it is easier to tell whats sanded and faster to do it wet. Like Mac said the paper lasts much longer too.
