Thanks for the info. I'll install an inspection plate which is going to be fun since the deck's on! Good thing I'm on the small side. But you still didn't answer the first question: how does water get into a sealed compartment? (But I suppose this is a moot point as you have to drill the hole. This seems to be the third stupid question.....)
