Stupid question.....
Posted by George K on Mar 28, 2005
Okay, you seal the inside of the boat with epoxy. You seal the outside with epoxy. You varnish or paint over this. You have a sealed bulkhead, epoxy on both sides. You keep talking about water getting in that sealed compartment and need a drain hole/inspection plate/whatever to get the water out. How does water get in in the first place? And if you have a breather hole, say 1/8" at the top of the bulkhead, wouldn't any moisture in there evaporate out over a week or two (the boat is stored in a very dry place)? Okay, I know that was two stupid questions and I've used my quota for the day. I'll be back tomorrow!
Thanks, George
