Deck Glass/Hull overlap
Posted by Shuswap Pat on Mar 25, 2005
So - you glass the bottom of the boat, trim, flip it over, and glue on the deck. Now when you glass the deck, how does the transiton between deck glass, and the hull come together? How far down do you go go with the glass 1/2" - 1 1/2"? Do you put a tape line on the hull to trim to? I realize if you are going to paint the hull, it will hide some of this, but what about a bright hull? Also what about a strip of kevlar on the hull bow/stern keel lines for abrasion resistance when 'launching/beaching'?
