Greg,

We just had a thread on this recently. Concensus seemed to be that the CLC studs are fine. Just be sure to thoroughly rough-up the stud bases and the hull areas where they are to be epoxied.

I like the idea on interior attachment, and have built all wooden equivalents of Kurt's idea using 4mm okoume squares for two kayaks.
