We ship large pieces of equipment on flatbed trucks all the time. We cover everything with thick shrink-wraps after palletizing. I have also noticed that the large boat manufacturer in town covers their large boats with the same white material for shipping out of state.

If you can find a local company that is using that material perhaps you can pay them to cover your yaks for your trip. Or maybe call a shipping company?
