Joining a w river 18 hull
Posted by Patrick Forrester on Mar 12, 2005
In the forum I have heard some people refer to tabbing a wr hull. The wr 18 assembly manual does not mention 1 word about this. The clc stitch and glue maual says tabbing is used only on a few clc models. It tabbing would be necessary, becuase the wires are pulled before it is glassed. Many seams appear as though they can not be filled with peanut buter becuase they are too small. ie the panels meet on about the same plane. Of course if it is not nessary I would prefer not to do much tabbing becuase they would not do much for the boat after the fiberglass is appliedd, and I guess they will make dark spots on the inside of the boat.
