Who carries a radio?

Do they really qualify as "10 passengers"?

When I lived in Florida, I saw group activities like this numerous times. I never saw one where I remember seeing a marine band or weather radio. I'd be surprised if they did more than check the TV weather. "It's just a little paddle."

How many open water/ocean kayakers here carry a marine radio with them?
