There are times when I wish I'd known at the beginning of my CH17 what I know now.

Seems a lot of time and material to go through in the learning process (unless you want to spend a year or so reading every message on this forum before you start) But I like my overweight, less than perfect kayak.

One of the biggest surprises I had was, after hours on this forum with people who love wooden kayaks, paddling with a group of people who, mostly, are completely uninterested in wooden kayaks. I'd forgotten such people existed.

Now I hope I don't run out of garage space (and my partners' patience) before I build a kayak I'm completely satisfied with.
