Color Selection

Do dark colors or light colors hide more?

I have several, what I will call character marks on my, currently only primed hull, that I would like to call as little attention to as possible and I am not fixed on any one color. The deck is varnished and I am hoping that will draw most of the stares, not my painted hull.
