I think I resemble that characterization. And I use them for some very demanding sail rudder application. Yet have found work-arounds the flaws mentioned by LeeG. I have a lashing around the adjusting rods on the Seal-line that keeps the rod in the selected notch - foolproof. I mounted the track on a aluminum plate with SEVERAL bolts - this beefs up the assembly and prevents twisting. The best thing about these controls is the cable adjustment - you can adjust the SS control cables without tools. Well designed. Sailboy
