Re: Scraper Survey

It's a good idea to me. I would've gotten some with my kit, along with the pull saw and block plane.
I've since bought some.
I feel the same way about carbide scrapers. Knowing what I know now, I would've bought a large and a small with my kit. They are invaluable, and hard to find locally, and unfamiliar to the new epoxy-er, which is the recipe for putting them into CLC catalog.
For me, the carbide scraper is slightly more important tool than cabinet scraper, but that may change when I get to varnishing, or when my skills/confidence with cabinet scraper improve.
In contrast, the carbide scraper requires no sharpening skill, almost no usage skill.
