Latest Project Launched!
Posted by Kurt Maurer on Jan 30, 2005
Greetings, Commodores:
You may remember that I was given a hulk to look at, an abandoned and badly botched Guillemot stripper project that had been abandoned by its original builders. And that, in a moment of severe brain cramping, I took its on rehabilitation as this year's project for myself?
Well, I launched 'er yesterday, and it works! It's way too soon to issue a paddling report, since all I can really can say at this point is that it floats, and that it goes forwards, backwards, and even sideways pretty good. Need for the weather to warm up a bit before I care to learn too much more.
In keeping with what passes for normal around here, it wears only its coat of epoxy, but I may actually go ahead and finish her out with varnish since I have the Cormorant to play with (not to mention it's too cold to have fun). Heck, I may even doll up the Cormorant first, y' never know.
Cheers, Kurt
