varnishing dilemna

Hi all - thanks to you guys, I have my Ches 17 completed. Now ready for varnishing. I did some serious woodburning on the deck and hatches before glassing and she looks great. I wish I knew how to post pictures. When I learn, I'll be sending some. I've never varnished before; I was wondering if I would have any brain cells left if I attempted to varnish inside the house. Living around Cleveland, Ohio, I would have to put it on hold until May if I had to take it outside. Any input would be helpful. David
