Sorry about that, Mac. A tuilik is a traditional eskimo version of a sprayskirt/hooded jacket combination. From what I can find out, they were essentially a long, waterproof jacket with a hood. The bottom of the jacket fastened around the cockpit. I figure that there was enough room in a tuilik to allow a capsized paddler to surface for air without rolling upright or flooding their cockpit.
Anyway, they can be bought, but some people make their own. I would make myself one, if I weren't so lazy. Here's just one link, there's lots more good info on the web......just search for "tuilik".
