Yeah, I know, it's good to know that there are other, shall we say, large statured paddlers out there. The only glaring ommission on Mr. Boyd's web site is the lack of reporting on our hobby of DIY and kit boats for bigger folks. This is actually what drove me to building one myself to begin with. If you're willing to invest the time, you could build 2-3 boats for the straight cash value of one good composite boat that would fit right (assuming you can find one).
