Re: wood fillers

Karl and Steve,
I've used goop from a tube of Pollyfilla Mahogony in desparation in a narrow seam twixt deck and rubrail with no ill effect. BUT have never liked the idea. On this, my next kayak, which I hope to finish completely bright, I'm experimenting with adding a little bit of white micro ballons to the wood flour to see if I can lighten the colour. My kayak designer has had good results with this, and his own yak supposedly is filled with this concoction - but I'll be damned if I can see where!
So, my next kayak building purchase - an artist's mixing pallet (and of course, a floppy barret -mais oui!)
