It did not match the patterns for the ends of the planks either. I found it odd that the offsets or drawings did not detail the plank ends so you could just draw them out.

So I just split the difference. I marked the end point given on the offsets and the end of plank edge detail (using a poster board pattern - see drawing below) then used the batten to fair it all together. My memory is that the patterns were narrower than the lofted points. The poster board template for each end of plank pattern helped me to visualize it all. Worked fine.
