MC13 Wood

What are your collective opinions about using okoume 6566 for the hull, assuming that I decide to paint the hull?

How does your opinion change if I decide to not paint the hull and keep in natural (bright??).

Finally - after going through the plans with a fine nap foam roller, I believe that the plans are lacking a sheet of plywood. The plans call for one 6mm for the bottom, and another two 4mm for the bilge and sheer panels. The deck should come from another sheet, yes? What about 3mm for the deck, or is that too thin?
