What is especially nice is the 8yr old daughter part. How cool was that?

Yep, the beam on a 16.5 is substantial enough to have you looking into 240cm paddles. (Maybe Peter Lyons will read this and chime in with his findings. I believe they're using a pair of Bending Branches Day paddles presently).

There are many MC paddlers on our forum - hopefully they can steer you right. (Have you thought of making some?) (You've got time between coats of varnish/paint).
