Craig, have you paddled an Epic 16 or 18? I saw a 16 on a car a few weeks ago,,looked slick and forgivable for a person who wanted fast and relatively stable. That bow on the Pax20 makes for some impressive broaching characteristics. This is the boat I'd be interested in if a person was looking for a racing kayak pretending to be a touring kayak:
