Haven't tried it. I use a Fein vac with 1 micorn filter and an internal paper bag (around $200 - 250) hooked to a Porter Cable ROS with a dust hood. Works very well, though maybe not so well as the tool you tested.

Some folks use a very long vac hose and put the vac outside, This may be a good idea for cheaper vacs without high efficiency filters.

I would still sand outside if you can. Actually, a very nicer chore on a cooler winter day instead of a hot July day.
