dust extraction

I attended the wooden boat show earlier this year in Newport, RI and saw an impressive demonstration of the Festool sander and dust collection unit. While sanding primer, there was no detectable dust in the air and after running my hand over the sanded area, there was no residue visible on my fingers.

I'm about to build my second boat and I'm looking for a way to cut down on the mess and exposure to epoxy dust. Ideally, I'd like to be able to sand in my garage or basement without transferring the boat outdoors for sanding (I also have an exhaust fan in the basement).

Has anybody out there tried this product? Is the extraction good enough to sand in a garage or basement?
