yes, so the straps are pulling down more than out, it'll make a bigger difference on the aft hatch,I forget the size of screw,,#10x3/4" or something like that,,if you have the choice there are finish washers with a flat edge that won't cut into the webbing as much. For the underside of the deck if you use the regular sized washer for the screw it'll cut into the wood so either get a 1/2" diameter ss. washer with a small hole for the screw or glass on 1" patches of 9oz tape.
