It appears that you're making ends pours larger than needed. If you're not installing a bow grab loop or rudder, an ounce or two of epoxy should be plenty to fasten the deck in that hard to glue and nail area. Otherwise, maybe three oz. in the bow and four in the stern.
Also, I do my pours with the boats nearly vertical - tree crotchs are great for this, but a loop of rope from a second story window works also. This gets the epoxy where it's needed: at the top of the bow and stern.
