Dremel bits 9931 and 9933 are advertised as good epoxy removal bits and I've found they work well. Lowes, Home Depot and possibly Wal-Mart carry them.
They let you grind away epoxy slowly enough to not cause damage if you're careful. I had a veritable mess of epoxy, cardboard and paper towels stuck together in my end pour then ground down to a fine sculpted beauty (it looks like the old man carved into the cane handle) Sure no one will see it but that's the kind of craftsmanship you should strive for in a botched epoxy job!
