Re: Hoisting for Storage

I hoist 2 yaks in my garage with similar height. I use the fancy Harken hoist system for one of them and it does work slick but costs about $100. For the other I installed 4 big eye bolts in the ceiling (into the joists through the drywall) and made simple rope slings, no pullies or anything. Took less time and about $10. I would do the simple rope sling again.
I would not do the end lift. Not as secure for me and sleeping at night.
