Re: Bead and Cove

Mac, I've been reading my new SB book over the weekend. The "bead and cove" are optional. They simply help to minimize gaps. Same gaps that we've all seen at our chine and keel seams. The author indicates that a quick pass with a block plane on the mating edges does away with the interference just as well.
Looks like plain old yellow carpenter's glue is the adhesive of choice and then as you said, glass inside and out.
Some of the stuff in the book is really straightforward. Some I've read two or three times already. I love it.
