Breatheable drysuit!! I have used a Kokatat Gore-Tex for six years commercially (heavy use, demoing rescues, stretching, climbing in and out of kayaks in deep water over stuff on decks, camping, rock and rough beach launchings, etc.); in Alaskan waters between 33 and 50 degrees, air temps between 35 and 80 degrees, in the water working with students for 45 plus minutes without discomfort, paddling hard on warm days okay too. The Palm Stikine looks good too. I am sure there are others out there too. You pay more upfront but if you take care of it, it should last ten years or more. Divide the price by the years and divide that by the number of trips/days use and it is prety cheap comfort, insurance and protection. The breatheability makes it useable on those days you should dress for the water but the air temps are higher.
