clc grab handle mod.
Posted by Craig Robinson on Oct 30, 2004
Hi All, I have been using my ch17 for about a month now and I have a 15min portage to get to where I put in. I have built a clc inspired cart and it works ok. However, I have found that the double fisherman's knot clc grab handle is not that comfortable. The knots move together and there is not enough to comfortably hold when walking. SOLUTION: I seperated the knots to a comfortable hand width (approx. 4 inches between knots) I then whipped a handle out of 4mm rope between the knots. The grip is much improved and the contrasting colors look fantastic(black & blue) Just a tip for anyone experiencing the same problem. BTW I used approx.1.75meteres of 4mm polyester rope to whip the handle.
