its all a matter of where a willing buyer and a willing seller are willing to agree.

my general sense is that well built boats can sell but the price i have seen deals actually done at tends to range between 750 to 1500 for the plane chesapeakes.

if you look at www.paddling.net and ebay...you will occassionally see boats for sale. but remember, those are asking prices and not where the deal actually gets done...which tends to be much lower than the ask.

so "fair" really is what you are willing to let the boat go for and how anxious you are to get rid of the boat and how much luck you get in attracting serious buyers.
