I believe that a drag for different speeds can be calculated easily enough with the correct software, but having all of the dimensions to support the calculations is problematic.

However, there are other factors which may be difficult to measure and can only be learned by testing.

I now have my 17LT and my wife's 16LT as a basis for comparison.

I also have the need to have another chance to to better on a new boat ... A criterion for the next boat is that it be fairly different in at least one design feature so that it gives me another data point.

Likely the next boat will be either a multi-chine or a strip built.
