Hi Robert,

The only reason I wouldn't use them is because of the flexibility that epoxy, hardener and woodflour give you.

If you need glue, you mix to one consistency, if you need putty for a horizontal fillet, then to another, and if you need it for a vertical fillet then yet another. And before you make the joint, you can use the unthickened epoxy to coat both pieces so the joint won't be starved. All this out of 1 3-oz. batch of epoxy with varying additions of woodflour.

I could see that if you prefer convenience and a larger inventory to a simpler inventory and more mix work that the S3 stuff would be good, it's just not my preference.

Good luck with the boat, the Skerry is a great choice.
