Lloyd,

I would do a strip built BECAUSE it takes much longer (unless your name is Maurer) and BECAUSE it can look much nicer. I doubt that it will outperform a multichine S&G by 3 to 1. If you're only doing it for performance, it may not be worth the additional expense and time.
