Hi Craig! I'm still experimenting with my Happy Bottom seat trying to alleviate "sleepy feet". I used adhesive backed velcro tape, and it works great. I am not quite sure how much wind resistance the velcro has so I pull the seat before transporting the boat at highway speeds. And as Chris said, it's let's you conveniently dry and clean the cockpit area.
