Another consideration you might want to think about:

Yachts of this type that are commerically made have the option of a spray skirt of some sort. Therefore in the event you want to have that as a possible future, you might want to consider the combing lip to extend around the front of the cockpit rather than nicely shaved down to blend in the front.

You might also want to consider how it will stay on in the back.

The experience I have found is that the person sitting in the middle or rear tends to have a humidifying experience due to paddle dripiage. So there may be the occasional situation where you may want to cover.
