Hey, now there's an idea! And being a woodworker anyway, that might be pretty cool. 5hrs. isn't too bad at all.

What goes into determining the size of a paddle? Is it just a matter of comfort, or does the persons height, the boats beam, etc. taken into account? I'm 5'11" if that makes a difference.

Also...I'm not familiar with Chris K. books (i'm betting I should be?). Could you give more details?
