Not sure I agree - Even though its in their video. Since blush washes off with plain water I wonder what other substances they are trying to remove? I stopped using thinner wipe downs since I tend to think they make for more bubbles and other issues in your finishes. Some guys won't even use tack rags. They just use clean cloths.

Some lacquer thinners are reclaimed and have contaminates in them. Plain old water has always worked for me. If you need to degrease or clean for some reason (like you are building outside and want to be sure the yak is fully clean) then a lite solution of liquid dish soap works great. Be sure to thoroughly rinse your yak.
