Unpacking

Unpacking Hints:

Unpacking your boat may seem like an easy enough task. The plywood pieces are held in place with clear packing tape. When you remove the tape, it has a tendency to lift the grain of the wood. This increases sanding time late in the boat building process. Try pulling the tape at a 45-degree angle rather then just a straight pull. This reduces the pulling of the wood fibers.
